Research profile

I am mostly a plant population and forest ecologist. My research spans local to large geographical scales and combines field and molecular ecological approaches. Woody plants are my favourite study organisms. Dispersal processes and biotic interactions represent a common denominator of my different research lines:

  • Interactions between animal-dispersed plants and their dispersers
  • Temperate forest regeneration and expansion
  • Ecological determinants of population genetic structures
  • Plant phylogeography and species range dynamics
  • Climate relict populations and their refugia
